Invited Speaker at GSA Corporate Symposium

Dr. Alan F. Castillo was invited to present at a U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Technology Service (FTS) Corporate Symposium, held as part of GSA’s Focus on Excellence program. The symposium brought together federal agencies and industry partners to address procurement integrity, contract compliance, and best practices in federal acquisition.

As part of the event, Dr. Castillo presented the “Get It Right” program, a framework aligned with GSA’s acquisition guidance emphasizing proper use of contract vehicles, adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and transparent procurement practices. The presentation addressed topics including Schedule and GWAC compliance, purchase order structuring, scope alignment, and coordination of teaming arrangements CT GSA Conference.

The engagement aligned with GSA’s broader Get It Right initiative, which was formally launched to strengthen compliance, improve transparency, and ensure effective use of federal contract vehicles across civilian agencies and the Department of Defense. The initiative was documented in GSA Steps, an official GSA Federal Supply Service publication, outlining policy objectives and contractor responsibilities related to FAR 8.4 and Schedule program usage GSA_Steps_Issue_5.

This invited speaking engagement is preserved as part of a historical record of professional participation in federal acquisition forums and government–industry collaboration initiatives.
